Scholarships

One of the main goals of ILEW is to create scholarships for Latinas in STEM.

In 2022 ILEW reached $10,000 awarded in scholarships towards the education of Latinas pursuing Engineering.

Take a look at the 3 scholarship opportunities we had this year. We open applications in the fall.

Latina Engineer Scholarship

Scholarship Award: $2,000

-Must self-identify as a female
-Must be or have Latinx background/roots
-Must reside and live within the 50 states of the United States.
– Must be a full-time student enrolled in an US accredited educational institution pursuing a 4-year bachelor’s degree in any engineering discipline.
-No immigration status required.

ILEW x GE Appliances, a Haier Company Scholarship

Scholarship Award: $2,000

-Must self-identify as a female
-Must have at least a 3.0 GPA
-Must be or have Latinx background/roots
-Must reside and live within the 50 states of the United States.
– Must be a full-time student enrolled in an US accredited educational institution pursuing a 4-year bachelor’s degree in any engineering discipline.
-Must be a U.S Citizen, U.S Permanent Resident, or legally authorized to work in the United States -Recipients are considered for an opportunity to intern at GE Appliances, a Haier Company

Grad School Latinas in Engineering ILEW Scholarship

Scholarship Award: $1,000

-Must self-identify as a female
-Must be or have Latinx background/roots
-Must reside and live within the 50 states of the United States.
– Must be a full-time student enrolled in an US accredited educational institution pursuing a master’s degree in any engineering discipline.
-No immigration status required.
